William C. McDow is certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court as a Circuit Court Mediator. Prior to forming his mediation practice, Bill was a defense attorney at Richardson Plowden law firm where he focused on medical malpractice and nursing home law for more than 30 years.
Bill’s father was a small-town general practice physician, which gave Bill an early understanding of both patient and physician perspectives. Bill earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina (USC) School of Law in 1989. Bill clerked for the Honorable J. Ernest Kinard, Jr., until 1991, and then worked as an assistant solicitor in the Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s Office before going into private practice.
Once joining Richardson Plowden, Bill decided he would pursue a focus in medical malpractice defense, along with nursing home litigation, insurance defense, and professional malpractice.
